SP 4: Fruits and vegetables value chain

Fruit and vegetables are valuable commodities in African food markets, but some species are particularly vulnerable to PHL.

In SP 4, will develop maturity indicators and measurement tools, and identify fruit and vegetable varieties with excellent post-harvest quality performance. Furthermore, we will work on options for system diversification, such as intercropping, to better balance production year round, and develop innovative processed products from such systems.
